I am so glad you stopped by because I want to share with you my 3 favorite weight loss motivational tips that I followed to help me get back in shape after giving birth to my second son. Before you get started, be sure to take out a pen and pad so you can brainstorm as you go through these steps with me. Ok, let’s get started with step number 1.
Finding Weight Loss Motivation Step 1- Make A Commitment To Change
First, you must understand that while other’s can influence you to get motivated, the first step starts with you. That’s right, this may sound weird but you have to make a conscious decision that you want to make a change and follow it up with action.
The good news is, it sounds like you are half way there. You have taken the time to search for how can I get motivated to lose weight or other related terms and you landed here. It does not matter if you have never worked out a day in your life or it’s simply been a while. You have an opportunity to make a change in your life starting right NOW.
If you have decided you are ready for a change, then please continue reading. On your note pad write down 3 realistic goals you want to accomplish in the next 21 days and I will show you how to get there. Keep in mind we are talking the next 21 days so writing down something like lose 100 pounds would be unrealistic. Here are a few examples of what I wrote down when going through this process.
- Lose 5-10 lbs
- Develop A Healthy Eating Routine
- Gain More Energy
Motivation For Weight Loss Step 2- Find An Accountability Partner
Let’s face it, finding time to work out on a consistent basis and juggle our daily routines can seem impossible. I am a wife and mother of two young boys and believe me when I tell you they keep me going NON STOP. At the end of my day, sometimes working out is the last thing on my mind, but I get it done. Want to know why? It’s simple.
I have an accountability partner that checks in on me each and everyday. An accountability partner is nothing more than someone that understands your weight loss or fitness goals and agrees to help you achieve them by holding you accountable.
This person could be a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member. Someone that is going to be willing to call, text, meet in person or Skype with you from time to time. My accountability partner is my husband. He motivates me when I feel like I just can not find the energy to workout or If I am feeling burnt out on eating healthy. Simple messages like, just reminding you to eat healthy today, or did you have your vitamin today, really helps believe it or not.
On your note pad, make a list of potential accountability partners that you can trust to help you stay LASER Focused on your goals. If you do not have anyone, I am willing to be your partner.

Weight Loss Motivation Step 3- Follow A Proven Weight Loss Routine
Step number three is also very important. A lot of my coaching clients used to tell me they get overwhelmed with working out because they simply do not know what to do. they do not know what to eat, how much to eat and more importantly what workouts are best for burning fat and losing weight.
Do me a small favor and write this down in capital letters on your note pad. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REINVENT THE WHEEL. This simply means you do not have to go out all over the internet trying to piece together workout and diet plans.
